I got out for just half an hour this morning, in what was probably the coldest, most miserable-est May day I have even known.
I got as far as the Greenhouse Complex, noting the LITTLE OWL was again sitting on one of the glass houses, but as I stared out over the sheep pasture at Migrant Alley, the cold wind and rain sucked the enthusiasm from me and I headed off home again  :-(  The day got no better  :-(

Ive got just one photo left in the blog photo folder now, how poor is that!

Another crap day. Im hoping for a butterfly visit to Sussex Sunday but the weather may let me down again. We shall see. On the plus side a new camera for me Sunday. A Canon 50d.

It's been awful here too Warren. Extremely high winds, rain and only 7C. Yesterday we had snow mixed in with rain! Dreadful for nests, fledglings, flutters etc. :-( Oh well, it's supposed to be much better over the weekend, lets hope they're right.

The photos of the Starlings on the last post were lovely. Those youngsters always make such a racket, very entertaining though :-)

Hi Marc,
Wasn't it crap !!!

You might just get a few sunny spells on Sunday, not that warm though.

I use the 50D, I reckon its a good all round camera, gives a good image even on ISO 800 :-)

Hi Songbird,
The only reason its getting better over the weekend is 'cos it cant get worse! LoL

Seriously though, whats only frustrating for us, is lethal for our wildlife, it's just going to compound last years disastrous summer :-(

Depressing stuff from you Warren, but this is the reality of the weather we are having so far this year. Like you say....it can only get better.
