It was overcast and showery this morning, but quite warm in light winds.
I checked the lakes early on, but nothing of note there but for a CORMORANT, a few SISKINS were heard and seen in the nearby Scrubby Woods.
A walk through the Greenhouse Grounds was pretty quiet, just a GREY WAGTAIL of note. A scan out over Migrant Alley revealed flyover BUZZARD and GREY HERON, plus a few MEADOW PIPITS flew over calling, as well as half a dozen SWALLOWS passing low over.
The recently worked field by the Greenhouses had attracted a mix of HERRING GULLS, BLACK HEADED GULLS, 2 COMMON GULLS and 20+ PIED WAGTAILS.
In a later visit to the Greenhouse grounds just after mid day, I re found all three STONECHATS, they certainly weren't around yesterday or this morning, just goes to show multiple visits are worth while at this time of year :-)
