I only had a 90 minute patch visit this morning, as I was spending the day with my lovely wife on a trip to the sea front for some down time  :-)

The 90 minutes was spent on a walk over to the College Grounds, still in pursuit of the hoped for arrival of the Spotted Flycatchers, they have not arrived yet though! GOLDCREST, COAL TIT, TREECREEPER, BULLFINCH and a distant off patch CUCKOO were the best of what I recorded there this morning. A couple of HERRING GULLS were on the college sports pitch, while a few minutes listening at the Wooded Headlands at Migrant Alley for a possible Turtle Dove didn't turn one up. A LITTLE OWL was seen perched up on the Greenhouse Guttering on my return walk home.

Back at it again tomorrow!

How lovely, a sunny day by the sea. I hope you both had a wonderful time :-) The nearest seaside place to me is nearly three hours away so we don't get there very often.

Love those Robin photos!

The early morning Robin on your 90 minute patch visit is a delight. And your down time by the sea with your 'lovely' wife, such admiral and beautiful sentiments Warren.

So there are other things in life than birds/birding after all!!

Whoops.... Shouldn't that be 'admirable' and beautiful sentiments!!
