Blue skies and warm sunshine were had for todays patch visit, very pleasant indeed!

The birding didn't quite match up to the weather today though, there wasn't much to get excited about, although watching a HOBBY chase the passage SWALLOWS and HOUSE MARTINS over Migrant Alley was  good entertainment. The KESTREL was back after a day off patch, and a SPARROWHAWK was also in the area, BUZZARDS made it a four raptor species day, with at least ten in the area!

CHIFFCHAFF was the only other Summer species recorded today, but the Autumn MEADOW PIPITS have continued to pass through, stopping of briefly at Migrant Alley and the Ashes Lane Fields to feed on the sheep pasture there.

In the good light I managed a couple of photo's............
