Today was mostly cloudy, but it was extremely humid and warm.

Once again a few hours spent around Migrant Alley, the Ashes Lane Fields, Pub field and Greenhouse grounds was had this morning, where there were fewer passage birds about, the only ones being a flyover of 4 YELLOW WAGTAILS. A WHITETHROAT was in the Greenhouse Grounds, whilst the associated Greenhouse Copse had a mixed flock of birds, including LONG TAILED TIT, BLUE TIT, GREAT TIT, GOLDCREST and CHIFFCHAFF.

I added a couple of species to the September list, with flyovers from CORMORANT (57) and GREY HERON (58), plus BUZZARD, KESTREL and HOBBY were all seen up hunting.

An afternoon visit to the Greenhouse Grounds proved rewarding, with another flock of 8 flyover Yellow Wagtails, as well a LESSER WHITETHROAT (59) for the month, which gave almost continuous sub-song from the boundary hedgerow.

Nothing for the camera today though  :-(
