No patch visit was made today, the weather put pay to that! After having earlier walked home from work battling my way through a near gale, and horizontal rain showers, I saw no point in trying to find any butterflies or Damselflies this afternoon or trying to find newly fledged young in the wildly swinging trees and bushes :-(   has this weather finally broken my spirit to get out ? Well maybe!

Here's some photo's I took last weekend, this is what I should be seeing throughout June!
SONGTHRUSH - not long from the nest
CARRION CROW - also a recently fledged individual
DUNNOCK
Recently fledged young WREN
A sibling of the above
Brown Argus

It really is so disheartening Warren! However your lovely photos have brightened another miserable day. The Dunnock was certainly enjoying the sunshine. Let's hope those little fledglings are managing to survive despite this awful weather.

I just checked the forecast for my area up until July 1st (which is as far as can be predicted) and it's no better!! :-(

Hi Songbird,
looks like a short window of opportunity tomorrow, before more rain writes off Sunday, better get out early tomorrow and fill my blog folder with photo's for the week ahead!

Don't think your broken spirits are anything to do with it Warren, you simply can't do what you wanted to do in these conditions. Probably the same countrywide, but we've had at least a 12 hours non stop rain lots of which has been pretty heavy stuff, roll on summer....Mmmmm!
