A fine a sunny morning, cloud built over by 11:00hrs, bu it remined dry and warm.

I spent the early part of the morning photographing the BLACKCAPS that are visiting my Elder tree that grows in my garden, two males and a female were scoffing the first few ripe berries, i'll post a few images in the coming days.

The latter part of the morning I spent looking for Dragonflies along the sunny edge of the Wet Woods, where I was lucky enough to photograph Common Darter, Migrant Hawker and Southern Hawker. Birdwise, the KESTREL family were hunting around the area and a mixed flock of SWALLOWS and HOUSE MARTINS, 30-40 strong, were sunning themselves on the Greenhouses, plus the first GREY HERON (51) of the month flew over.

Here's a few images of the Southern Hawker, both male and female were photographed.
