This afternoon was dull, gloomy, and damp, I decided I wouldn't go out onto my patch, instead I went up to the garden shed, and tried to get some photo's of the garden birds through the window. The light started of bad at 14:00hrs and by 15:00hrs it was dire, my camera shutter speed was on 1/60th of a second even with the ISO on 1600! The result was grainy blurry images - well what can you do ? Here's the photo's that were rescued, at least you can see they are birds.

The weather looks like its going to stay dry for the morning visit to my patch tomorrow, but rain will be moving in for the rest of the weekend - great. :-(

Hi Warren,
Wow the feeder seems to be quite effective. Gorgeous to see all these birds around and so many of them. Let's hope the good weather will come back!

Warren ,
Don't blame you for not going out today .
It can only get better - can't it ?

Warren: What a mixture of birds, ours don't seem to come together and don't mix well. I love the color variations on your birds.

Good effort from the garden shed Warren and a nice variety. I'm just grateful I don't live in Cumbria, in particular Cockermouth which is seriously under water, and without being too gloomy the tragedy of that poor policeman on the bridge.......Oh dear.

Enjoy your birds wherever and whenever.

Dave Cotteridge used to call today's light, F8 for a Fortnight, and it was just about that today!
(got it right this time!)

I see you're feeding sunflower hearts - do you put anything else out? They are the only thing our birds eat - won't touch peanuts, fatballs etc they just leave em to go mouldy but can't get enough of sunny hearts. No bird table here or we get the invasion of the feral pigeons...but have seen a monstrous 4 foot seed feeder for onmly a few pence - I can feel my pocket money being spent.
Nice phots despite the conditions

Cheers

PS not raining here now so it will do soon!
