No trip was made to my patch today, as i had a rare trip out to the coast - Dungeness to be precise. A nice day out to brush up on ducks, waders and raptors. There were a couple of twitchable birds around -Dark eyed junco, and a Bluethroat, but we didn't chase them down. There were surprisingly little migrant activity about, some Sedge Warblers, a couple of Gargany, Wheatears, Black Redstart and Common Redstart, the latter was reported, but we didn't see any. There were no Swallows or Martins about either.
Back to my patch tomorrow.
PS: MISTLE THRUSH nesting by my front door is still incubating, wont be long now before the eggs hatch.
