No patch visit was made today, well, apart from the walk into work and back, where 60-80 FIELDFARE, 2 REDWING, 150ish BLACK HEADED GULLS and 2 COMMON GULLS were about the best of it, all seen as I crossed the sheep pasture and paddocks at Migrant Alley.
As obsessed with visiting my patch as I undoubtedly am, even I am growing weary of the never ending cold, rain, mud, and grey skies that this winter has provided, I'm no fairweather birder, but today after trudging home through the mud and rain, I just got home from work and gave up!!!!!!
Tomorrow looks no better, nor does Sunday, and next week doesn't hold much hope looking at the long range forecast :-(
I'll try for a full patch walk tomorrow, and maybe something will turn up to re-incentivise me ( is that a word?)
Ive added a new blog to my sidebar, Graham has started a blog from the Gravel Pits not far to the SE of my patch, see my blog list on the right. Good luck mate :-)

It's enough to put anyone off Warren and as you say not looking much good for the foreseeable future. I just looked at my ten day forecast on the web and it looks dire :-( I'm sure it won't be long though before curiosity gets the better of you and you get your motivation back ;-)
Hi Songbird,
I'm just getting frustrated!! There's nothing much to see in this weather when i do get out :-)
The Sprawk is wreaking havoc in my garden, so there's nothing to see there either...........woe is me.......:-)
Same here Warren. Last week we had 4 days of rain...then 3 days of bloody freezing windchill...and now we`re back to rain & still not much warmer :(
