Rain and strong winds this morning meant a much later patch visit today, and it proved to be very quiet out, hardly anything was seen, and little heard over the gusty wind  :-(

The best I can offer was seeing a troop of LONG TAILED TITS moving through the Small Holding, along with a few BLUE and GREAT TITS, plus a TREECREEPER.

The KINGFISHER was seen well, over on the Lakes, where only a few MALLARD and MOORHENS kept it company, a CORMORANT flew over, but didn't alight on the water.

The KESTREL pair were looking as fed up as me as they sat out on their perches at the Greenhouse Grounds, hunkered down against the frequent wind blown drizzle  :-(  BLACK HEADED  and HERRING GULLS relished the conditions though, speeding across the sky above the sheep pasture at Migrant Alley, where only singles of both MEADOW PIPIT and SKYLARK were of note.

The change to stormy weather seems to have halted my run of good fortune!

Even my garden feeders were quiet today, the birds obviously finding plenty out in the wild at the moment. Nothing for the camera in this weather either, what will I do with myself!
