Again it was foggy this morning, leading to much frustration as I couldn't see beyond 20m! The fog didn't clear until 12:00 so it affected my whole walk. Just 39 species were recorded (mostly heard!) There were some hightlights though, while walking through the wet woods, I found a feeding flock of BLUE, GREAT, COAL, LONGTAILED and MARSH TITS, as well as NUTHATCH, TREECREEPER and GOLDCREST, I watched for 20mins or so as they fed all around me, taking no notice of my presence. Apart from that, a GREY WAGTAIL at the wet ditch, over by Migrant Alley allowed close views, and a CHIFFCHAFF was still singing in the college grounds.

Above: the foggy conditions, and below a SONGTHRUSH in the college gardens

Below is the Grey Wagtail that was in the wet ditch.

This afternoon I took some pics of birds in the garden, I was surprised to see the Marsh Tit had found the feeders already, did it just follow the Nuthatch's, or more interestingly, is it the same bird that overwintered here last year?

Warren: You got some great shots of your birds. Did you see the shape behind the Grey Wagtail in the ditch. It definetly ends up a bird shape with the branch and the water. It is really neat.
