Heavy overnight rain and strong winds persisted right up until midday, making any kind of patch walk out of the question, what a waste of a Sunday morning, some compensation was had this afternoon when a family pub lunch was had, so that was birding for today finished !

Here's the last photo from the 'Blog photo' folder, i'll be in need of some good light and dry weather this week if i'm to refill it!

Steve,
You'll have time on one hand anyway!

Pity about the heavy rain and strong wind putting paid to any chance of a patch walk. But the family pub lunch sounds like the best way to fill in for the rest of the days birding.

There really are other things in life than birding Warren.... aren't there?

Lovely photo Warren, it really shows the detailed markings.

The weather was the same here too :-( I'm sure the family lunch brightened it up there though and just think, if it was prearranged and a lovely day you would have been spitting spiders to be sitting in a pub when you could have been out on your patch....well, I know I would :-)
