This afternoon after work, the weather was pleasantly sunny, great for an afternoon stroll over to the Lakes..............................Unfortunately, a domestic plumbing problem needed urgent attention, and I had to wait for a plumber to arrive.

I did however get to take some garden photo's while the offending tap was being seen to!  Only the usual garden characters, but it was nice to sit down and watch them all at the feeders. Still very few finch's are coming in, just one GOLDFINCH, 4 CHAFFINCH and no Greenfinch at all, unheard of at my feeders!

Whilst taking the photo's from my garden photography studio - (shed!), I heard LESSER REDPOLL and SISKIN go over, and a MISTLE THRUSH was heard singing over at the Small Holding, where as dusk fell two LITTLE OWLS were heard duetting  :-)

Here's the photo's, despite the sunshine the light was only just getting over the garden wall, so they are mostly a bit dark.

Hope you get some of the huge numbers of waxwings; gotta be coming your way soon...

Cheers

Thanks Davo,
I would dearly love a decent photo of a Waxwing, but I'll take just seeing them on my patch :-)
