A smart looking HOBBY flew low over Ashes lane this morning, always nice to see these little falcons. Not much happening apart from that, a small party of HERRING GULLS went over migrant alley, and the usual SWIFTS, SWALLOWS and a few HOUSE MARTINS were busy feeding over the paddocks and maize crop there. As I walked through the college, which is now deserted, as the students have broken up, it was absolutely silent! I stopped and listened for some minutes, until a GOLDCREST broke into song.
I had a few jobs needed doing this afternoon, as well as having to get myself clean and tidy for the annual staff dinner, so i didn't get out. Wonder what i've missed! I'll have to make up for it early tomorrow morning.
